Description

Baked Italian Shrimp is a flavorful and easy seafood dish that combines shrimp with Italian herbs and spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Toss until the shrimp are well coated.
  3. Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the shrimp mixture and gently toss to combine. Pour the shrimp and tomato mixture into a baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the shrimp and tomatoes. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, and the topping is golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your baked Italian shrimp warm, perfect over pasta or with crusty bread.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the spice level.
  • Serve with a side of pasta or crusty bread for a complete meal.
