Description
A delightful treat for any time of the day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (or any nuts of your choice)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas with the melted butter. Stir until well combined. Add the baking soda and salt to the banana mixture, mixing well. Incorporate the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, stirring until the mixture is smooth.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the banana mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Fold in the chopped walnuts, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove the banana nut bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
