Description

A quick and flavorful Chicken and Shrimp Stir-Fry dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken breast, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken and shrimp: In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken breast, shrimp, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well to coat the proteins evenly. Allow to marinate for about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Cook the chicken: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook the shrimp: In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the chicken.
  4. Stir-fry the vegetables: In the same skillet, add the bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Combine and serve: Add the cooked chicken and shrimp back to the skillet with the vegetables. Toss everything together and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes
