- 1 tablespoon ketchup (for remoulade)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (for remoulade)
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (for remoulade)
- 1 teaspoon paprika (for remoulade)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (for remoulade)
- Salt and pepper to taste (for remoulade)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the lump crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- Shape the mixture into small bite-sized cakes, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the crab cakes in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, ketchup, lemon juice, hot sauce, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Arrange the crab cake bites on a serving platter and serve warm with the spicy remoulade on the side for dipping.
