- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir continuously to combine with the spices.
- Allow the sauce to thicken slightly, cooking for about 3-4 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
- Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, tossing them in the creamy sauce until well coated and heated through.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
