- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred for extra crunch)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs until well combined. Place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl. Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, dip it into the beaten eggs, and coat it in the breadcrumbs.
- In a large skillet, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Test the oil with a small piece of bread. Carefully add the breaded shrimp in batches and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Arrange the crispy fried shrimp on a serving platter. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
