Description

Crispy Fried Shrimp is a delightful seafood treat that is perfectly crunchy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred for extra crunch)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. In another bowl, beat the eggs until well combined. Place the breadcrumbs in a third bowl. Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, dip it into the beaten eggs, and coat it in the breadcrumbs.
  3. In a large skillet, heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Test the oil with a small piece of bread. Carefully add the breaded shrimp in batches and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  4. Arrange the crispy fried shrimp on a serving platter. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
