Description
Crispy oven-baked chicken tenders that are simple and delicious.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray or olive oil for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, whisk the eggs in the second bowl, and combine the breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in the third bowl.
- Take each chicken tender and coat it in the flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off. Coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure adherence.
- Place the breaded chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching.
- Lightly spray the tops of the chicken tenders with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Pair with your favorite dipping sauces.
