- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably for extra crunch)
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. In another shallow dish, beat the eggs. Place the breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.
- Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, dip in the beaten eggs, and coat in the breadcrumbs.
- Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Serve the crispy shrimp hot with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying.
- Do not overcrowd the pan while frying.
