Description

Crunchy, cheesy, and oven-baked, this Crispy Cheddar Chicken is a family-favorite comfort food made with cornflakes, cheddar cheese, and pantry staples—perfect for quick, satisfying dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Cooking spray or olive oil, as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat chicken breasts dry. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. Set up three bowls: flour in one, beaten eggs in the second, and cornflake-cheddar mix in the third.
  4. Dredge chicken in flour, then egg, then press into the cornflake mixture to coat thoroughly.
  5. Place on baking sheet. Lightly spray or drizzle with oil.
  6. Bake 25–30 minutes, or until golden and internal temp reaches 165°F (75°C).
  7. Let rest a few minutes before serving.
