- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the light soy sauce and cornstarch. Add the shrimp and toss until they are well-coated. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for no more than 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until they are pink and opaque.
- Drizzle the honey over the shrimp and sprinkle with chili flakes if desired. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly in the sauce and remove from heat.
- Garnish the shrimp with sliced green onions. Serve over rice or as an appetizer.
