Description

Easy Scampi Recipe: A simple and delicious seafood dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Cooked pasta of your choice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Place the shrimp in the skillet in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink.
  4. Turn the shrimp over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fully cooked and opaque.
  5. Pour in the white wine or chicken broth and lemon juice. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
  7. Toss the cooked pasta with the shrimp and sauce until well coated. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
