Description

Garlic Butter Shrimp and Rice is a simple one-pan meal that combines succulent shrimp with flavorful rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, stir in the rice and cook for about 2 minutes, allowing it to toast slightly.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Once the rice is cooked, return the shrimp to the skillet. Add lemon juice and gently stir to combine everything.
  6. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
