Description
Garlic Butter Shrimp and Rice is a simple one-pan meal that combines succulent shrimp with flavorful rice.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, stir in the rice and cook for about 2 minutes, allowing it to toast slightly.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- Once the rice is cooked, return the shrimp to the skillet. Add lemon juice and gently stir to combine everything.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to your taste.
- Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor.
