Description
Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Mushrooms is a quick and delicious meal that combines tender steak and savory mushrooms in a rich garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season Steak: Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
- Heat Oil: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Sear Steak: Add the steak cubes to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes without stirring, allowing a nice crust to form. Flip the cubes and cook for another 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté Mushrooms: In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 4-5 minutes until they are golden brown and tender. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add Garlic: Lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic to the mushrooms. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Incorporate Butter: Add the butter to the skillet and stir until melted and combined with the mushrooms.
- Return Steak: Add the cooked steak back into the skillet and toss to combine with the garlic butter and mushrooms. Cook for an additional minute to heat through.
- Garnish: Remove from heat, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
