- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Cooked pasta or rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the shrimp and stir gently to combine.
- Squeeze the lemon juice over the shrimp and mix well. Remove from heat.
- Serve the garlic Parmesan shrimp over cooked pasta or rice, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
