Instructions

  1. Clean Shrimp: Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt Butter: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Sauté Garlic: Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Cook for about 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
  4. Add Shrimp: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  5. Add Lemon Juice: Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the shrimp and stir to combine.
