Description

A refreshing summer dish featuring grilled swordfish steaks marinated in a lemon herb mixture.


Ingredients

  • 4 swordfish steaks (about 6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Place the swordfish steaks in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the swordfish from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Discard the remaining marinade. Place the swordfish steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Remove the swordfish from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with lemon wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor.
