- 1/2 cup nuts (such as walnuts or almonds), chopped
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, and mix until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the chopped fruits, nuts, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Gently fold this mixture into the batter until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix the rolled oats, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the batter in the baking pan.
- Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
