Description

A delightful collection of your favorite recipes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup fresh fruits (such as berries, apples, or peaches), chopped
  • 1/2 cup nuts (such as walnuts or almonds), chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, and mix until just combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the chopped fruits, nuts, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Gently fold this mixture into the batter until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the rolled oats, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon until well combined.
  8. Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the batter in the baking pan.
  9. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
