Description

Homemade Scampi Sauce is a delightful addition to your pasta or seafood.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the unsalted butter and olive oil over medium heat. Allow the butter to melt completely and the mixture to heat up.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and oil. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the garlic becomes fragrant but not browned.
  3. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds to infuse the oil with heat.
  4. Pour in the dry white wine and increase the heat to medium-high. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 3-4 minutes, or until the wine has reduced by half.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the lemon juice and zest. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve the scampi sauce over your favorite pasta or seafood, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
