Description
Homemade Scampi Sauce is a delightful addition to your pasta or seafood.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the unsalted butter and olive oil over medium heat. Allow the butter to melt completely and the mixture to heat up.
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and oil. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the garlic becomes fragrant but not browned.
- Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds to infuse the oil with heat.
- Pour in the dry white wine and increase the heat to medium-high. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 3-4 minutes, or until the wine has reduced by half.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the lemon juice and zest. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the scampi sauce over your favorite pasta or seafood, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
Notes
- Adjust red pepper flakes to your heat preference.
- Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
