Description
A quick and delicious weeknight meal featuring tender chicken and vibrant vegetables in a sweet and savory sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced (any color)
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 cup snap peas
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)
- Sesame seeds and green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water until smooth. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the chicken is browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers, broccoli florets, and snap peas. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the mixture and stir well to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
- Serve the honey garlic chicken stir fry over cooked rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
- Adjust the vegetables based on your preference.
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
