Description

Honey Garlic Shrimp is a sweet and savory delight that comes together in just 20 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Flip the shrimp and pour the honey garlic sauce over them. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the shrimp are fully cooked and the sauce has thickened slightly.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and garnish the shrimp with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately over rice or noodles.
