Description

A simple and delicious juicy burger recipe perfect for grilling season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend for optimal juiciness)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Sliced cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles for toppings
  • Condiments of your choice (ketchup, mustard, mayo)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, gently mix the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Be careful not to overwork the meat to keep the burgers tender.
  2. Form Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
  3. Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Cook Patties: Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the burgers and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if desired.
  5. Add Cheese: If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
  6. Toast Buns: Optionally, toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1 minute until golden brown.
  7. Build Your Burger: Place the cooked patties on the bottom half of the buns, and add your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. Finish with your choice of condiments.
  8. Serve: Place the top half of the buns on the burgers and serve immediately.
