Description

A quick and delicious low-carb dinner option featuring tender steak and melted cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced flank steak and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender and the onions are translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the vegetables. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat everything through. Sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese over the top and cover the skillet. Allow the cheese to melt for about 2 minutes.
  4. Once the cheese is melted, remove the skillet from heat. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
