Description
A quick and delicious low-carb dinner option featuring tender steak and melted cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced flank steak and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender and the onions are translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Return the cooked steak to the skillet with the vegetables. Stir to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat everything through. Sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese over the top and cover the skillet. Allow the cheese to melt for about 2 minutes.
- Once the cheese is melted, remove the skillet from heat. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
