Description
A delightful seafood dish that’s quick and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound scallops, cleaned
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Season the shrimp and scallops with salt and pepper. Dredge the shrimp in flour, shaking off any excess.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the scallops and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the scallops and set aside with the shrimp.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the shrimp and scallops to the skillet, tossing them in the sauce to coat. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
