Description

A quick and tasty shrimp stir fry meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
  • Sesame seeds and green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate shrimp with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, salt, and pepper for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 more minute.
  4. Push vegetables aside, add marinated shrimp, and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink.
  5. Mix remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water. Pour over shrimp and vegetables, stirring well. Cook for 2 more minutes until sauce thickens.
  6. Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
