- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Clean Shrimp: Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat Oil: In a large wok or skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Sauté Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the hot oil and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
- Sauté Aromatics: In the same pan, add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add Vegetables: Toss in the sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, and julienned carrot. Stir fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return Shrimp: Add the cooked shrimp back into the pan with the vegetables.
- Add Sauces: Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, stirring to combine.
- Thicken Sauce: Add the cornstarch mixture to the pan and stir well, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish: Stir in the chopped green onions and remove from heat.
- Serve: Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
