Description

Slow Cooker BBQ Beef Sandwiches are a flavorful and easy meal perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • Coleslaw (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Season the Roast: Rub the beef chuck roast with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Sear the Meat: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the roast on all sides until browned, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Place the sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker. Add the seared beef roast on top.
  4. Add Liquids: Pour in the beef broth, barbecue sauce, and Worcestershire sauce over the roast.
  5. Slow Cook: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the beef is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
  6. Shred the Beef: Once cooked, remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce.
  7. Assemble Sandwiches: Serve the BBQ beef on hamburger buns and top with coleslaw if desired.
