Description

A quick and flavorful dish featuring steak and shrimp in a spicy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine the sliced flank steak with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated steak and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil if needed. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside with the steak.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the sliced red bell pepper and snap peas, and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the skillet. Add the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sriracha sauce. Stir to combine everything well. Pour in the cornstarch mixture and stir until the sauce thickens and coats the steak and shrimp evenly.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Adjust sriracha sauce to your spice preference.
  • Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
