Description

Sweet and Spicy Shrimp is a delightful balance of flavors that combines sweetness and heat.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (adjust for spice level)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the shrimp and toss to coat well. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp to the skillet, reserving the marinade for later use.
  3. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and coat the shrimp.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
