Description
Sweet and Spicy Shrimp is a delightful balance of flavors that combines sweetness and heat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (adjust for spice level)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the shrimp and toss to coat well. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp to the skillet, reserving the marinade for later use.
- Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and coat the shrimp.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust sriracha for desired spice level.
- Serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
