Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips, melted and cooled slightly
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted. Allow to cool slightly.
  2. Cream Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and unsalted butter together using an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Incorporate Chocolate: Gradually add the slightly cooled melted white chocolate to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until fully combined and smooth.
  4. Mix in Sugar: Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed until combined. Add the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, then mix until everything is well incorporated and the frosting is light and fluffy.
  5. Frosting Application: Use the white chocolate cream cheese frosting immediately to frost your favorite cakes or cupcakes. If not using right away, store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
