Ingredients
  

  • 4 fillets Fish fillets (tilapia, cod, or haddock) Fresh or thawed if frozen.
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Use whole wheat for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour For coating the fish.
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten, for the egg wash.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Adds flavor to the fish.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika For color and flavor.
  • to taste Salt Enhances flavor.
  • to taste Pepper Enhances flavor.
  • as needed Cooking spray or olive oil To prevent sticking and add crispiness.
  • as needed Lemon wedges For serving.

Method
 

  1. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. If marinating, mix lemon juice, olive oil, and herbs, and let the fish sit for 15-30 minutes.
  3. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs in the third.
  4. Dredge each fillet in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
  6. Place the breaded fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap.
  7. Lightly spray the tops of the fillets with cooking spray and air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Check that the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the fillets are golden brown before serving.
  9. Serve with lemon wedges and your choice of sides.
