Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs steak sirloin, ribeye, or tenderloin, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • Optional additions red pepper flakes, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • mixing bowl
  • meat thermometer

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for about 5 minutes.
  2. Cut the steak into bite-sized chunks and place them in a bowl.
  3. Season the steak with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Coat the steak with 1 tablespoon of olive oil or avocado oil. Toss to ensure each piece is well-coated.
  5. Add Italian seasoning or additional flavors like Worcestershire sauce if desired.
  6. Place the steak bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
  7. Cook the steak bites at 400°F for 10 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through cooking to ensure they cook evenly.
  8. While the steak is cooking, prepare the garlic butter. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Mix in minced garlic or garlic powder and chopped parsley.
  9. Once the steak bites are done, take them out of the air fryer and immediately toss them in the garlic butter mixture.
  10. Serve your air fryer steak bites warm.

Notes

Choose tender cuts like sirloin, ribeye, or tenderloin for best results. New York strip or flat iron steak can be substituted. Use avocado oil or melted butter instead of olive oil if preferred. Fresh garlic can be substituted with garlic powder. Check doneness with thermometer: Medium-Rare 130-135°F, Medium 135-145°F.
