Ingredients

  • 8 oz block of feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • fresh thyme sprigs optional, for garnish
  • crusty bread or pita for serving

Equipment

  • baking dish
  • Measuring spoons
  • oven

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the block of feta cheese in a small baking dish that fits it snugly.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the feta.
  4. Pour the honey over the top, making sure the cheese is well coated.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over the honey, pressing gently so they stick.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the feta is warmed through, soft, and lightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 1–2 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh thyme if using.
  9. Serve immediately with crusty bread or pita for dipping.

Notes

Use a block of feta for best texture. Bake just until soft and golden. Serve warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheat gently.
