Ingredients
  

For the Herb Butter
  • 4 fillets salmon about 6 oz each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 whole lemon sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs such as parsley, dill, or thyme, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

Method
 

  1. Prepare the herb butter by mixing softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped fresh herbs in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the salmon fillets on the sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Top each salmon fillet with a slice of lemon and a dollop of the herb butter mixture.
  4. Bake the salmon for 15-20 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  5. Let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

Use fresh salmon for the best flavor. Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of the fillets.
