Method
- Gather all your ingredients: ripe bananas, melted butter, baking soda, salt, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and all-purpose flour.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your muffin tin by lining it with paper liners or greasing it.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas with the melted butter. Stir until well blended. Add baking soda and a pinch of salt, mixing thoroughly.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until combined. It's okay if the batter has a few lumps.
- Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with the batter. Optionally, sprinkle chocolate chips or nuts on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the muffins cool in the tin for about 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Banana muffins are a versatile treat that can be customized with nuts, chocolate chips, or spices.
