Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces Fresh Cod Fillets Look for firm fillets with a clean smell.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Extra virgin for a robust flavor.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced, for flavor.
  • 1 medium Lemon Juice and zest for brightness.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano For seasoning.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Adds color and flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper To taste.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Chopped, for garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking.
  • Rinse the cod fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Place the cod fillets in a lightly greased baking dish and drizzle with olive oil.
  • In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon zest, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
  • Spread the marinade over the cod fillets and squeeze fresh lemon juice on top. Allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • For baking, place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until the cod flakes easily with a fork.
  • For grilling, preheat the grill to medium-high heat, oil the grates, and grill the fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
  • For pan-searing, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the fillets for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Check that the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) for safe consumption.
  • Let the cod rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
