  • to taste Pepper For seasoning the chicken.
  • as needed Chopped green onions For garnish.

Equipment

  • large skillet
  • mixing bowl
  • Spatula

Method

  1. In a bowl, season the chicken tenders with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Ensure they are evenly coated.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chopped turkey bacon. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil if needed and increase the heat to medium-high. Add the seasoned chicken tenders and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and soy sauce until well combined. Pour this mixture over the cooked chicken tenders in the skillet.
  5. Stir in the crispy bacon and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize and coat the chicken.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve the caramelized chicken tenders warm.
