Method
 

  1. Gather all your ingredients: heavy cream, unsalted butter, freshly grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter in a medium-sized pot over medium heat, stirring gently until it becomes a lovely golden color.
  3. Add the heavy cream to the melted butter and stir well. Allow the mixture to come to a gentle simmer.
  4. Gradually add the freshly grated Parmesan cheese to the simmering mixture, stirring continuously until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce is creamy.
  5. Season the sauce with garlic powder, salt, and freshly ground pepper to taste. Stir well to ensure even distribution.
  6. Let the sauce simmer for a few more minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until it thickens to your desired consistency.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve over pasta, as a dip, or drizzled over vegetables.
