Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken breast cooked, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 medium flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped, optional
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Spatula
  • Knife for dicing

Method

  1. Cook the chicken if not already done. Season lightly with salt and pepper and bake, sauté, or grill until cooked through. Dice into small bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a pan over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  3. Add diced chicken to the pan and toss with the garlic oil to coat evenly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in both cheeses while chicken is still hot.
  5. Lay a tortilla flat and spoon a generous portion of cheesy garlic chicken mixture into the center. Fold in the sides and roll tightly like a burrito.
  6. In skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Place wraps seam-side down and press gently.
  7. Cook each side for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Flip carefully.
  8. Remove from skillet and let rest for 1 to 2 minutes before slicing.
  9. Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken to save time. Cook chicken fully before adding to recipe. Flip wraps carefully to avoid spilling filling. Let wraps rest before slicing for easier cutting. Stir in cheese while chicken is still hot to help melting. Place wraps seam-side down first to seal properly. For extra garlic flavor, brush tortilla outside with garlic butter before toasting.
