Method
- Combine warm milk, melted butter, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle active dry yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- Add eggs and salt to the mixture. Gradually add all-purpose flour, mixing until a dough forms. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Prepare the filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, spread the cinnamon filling, and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Roll the dough tightly from the long edge and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
- Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Prepare the frosting by beating together cream cheese, unsalted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Frost the warm rolls with the cream cheese frosting and serve.
