Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-purpose flour For a soft and fluffy texture.
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar To add a touch of sweetness.
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast 2 1/4 teaspoons to help the dough rise.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To enhance the flavors.
  • 1 cup Whole milk Warmed to activate the yeast.
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter Melted for richness.
  • 2 large Eggs To bind the ingredients together.

Filling Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter Softened for easy spreading.
  • 1 cup Brown sugar Packed for a deep, caramel-like flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Ground cinnamon To give that warm spice.
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips For that gooey, chocolatey goodness.

Frosting Ingredients

  • 4 oz Cream cheese Softened for a smooth texture.
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter Softened to blend easily.
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar For sweetness and creaminess.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract For added flavor.
  • 2-3 tablespoons Milk As needed for the right consistency.

Instructions
 

  • Combine warm milk, melted butter, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle active dry yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
  • Add eggs and salt to the mixture. Gradually add all-purpose flour, mixing until a dough forms. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Prepare the filling by mixing softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, spread the cinnamon filling, and sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  • Roll the dough tightly from the long edge and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
  • Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Prepare the frosting by beating together cream cheese, unsalted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Frost the warm rolls with the cream cheese frosting and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
