Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients and ensure a clean workspace.
  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon to create the filling.
  • Remove crusts from bread slices and flatten each slice with a rolling pin. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over each slice and roll tightly.
  • In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter. Once melted, place the roll-ups seam-side down in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, rotating to brown all sides.
  • Prepare icing by mixing powdered sugar with a little milk and vanilla extract until smooth, if desired.
  • Serve the roll-ups warm, drizzled with icing or topped with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or whipped cream.
