  • 1 package Instant pudding mix 3.4 oz, any flavor.
  • 2 cups Cold milk Used to prepare the pudding.
  • 1 container Cool Whip 8 oz, thawed.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Optional, for added flavor.

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the instant pudding mix and cold milk. Whisk together until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken, about 2 minutes.
  2. Gently fold the thawed Cool Whip into the pudding mixture using a spatula. Be careful not to deflate the Cool Whip; you want to maintain its light and fluffy texture. If desired, add the vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the frosting for at least 30 minutes to allow it to set. Once chilled, it is ready to spread on cakes, cupcakes, or any dessert of your choice.
