Method
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, egg, and Cool Whip. Mix on medium speed for 3 to 5 minutes until thickened.
- Gently fold in 3/4 cup of M&Ms using a spatula.
- Using a cookie scoop, portion out the dough and roll into balls. Coat each ball in powdered sugar.
- Press a few M&Ms on top of each cookie ball.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the tops crack slightly. Rotate sheets halfway through if baking multiple.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4-5 days.
