Ingredients
  

For the cookies
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar For coating the cookies.
  • 1 box (16.25 ounces) white cake mix Any flavor can be used.
  • 1 large egg Binds the ingredients together.
  • 2 1/2 cups Cool Whip The star ingredient for lightness.
  • 1 cup M&Ms For added sweetness and color.

  • stand mixer or hand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, egg, and Cool Whip. Mix on medium speed for 3 to 5 minutes until thickened.
  3. Gently fold in 3/4 cup of M&Ms using a spatula.
  4. Using a cookie scoop, portion out the dough and roll into balls. Coat each ball in powdered sugar.
  5. Press a few M&Ms on top of each cookie ball.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the tops crack slightly. Rotate sheets halfway through if baking multiple.
  7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4-5 days.
