Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cottage cheese Provides a creamy texture and protein.
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour Helps bind the ingredients together.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder Adds flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion powder Enhances the savory taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Balances the flavors.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper Adds a bit of heat.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Paprika Gives a mild sweetness and color.
  • as needed Cooking spray or olive oil For greasing the baking sheet.

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • wire rack
  • Spoon

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it with cooking spray or olive oil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix until well combined and a thick batter forms.
  3. Using a spoon, drop small amounts of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading each mound into a thin, even layer. Leave some space between each chip as they will spread slightly while baking.
  4. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chips are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  5. Once baked, remove the chips from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  6. Serve the cottage cheese chips as a healthy snack on their own or with your favorite dip.
