- Prepare all ingredients: peel and devein shrimp, mince garlic, and chop parsley.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet. Toss gently to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
