- Rinse and drain the chickpeas in a colander, then rinse under cold water to remove excess sodium.
- Pat the chickpeas dry with a kitchen towel or paper towels to remove moisture.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the dried chickpeas with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the seasoned chickpeas in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Remove the chickpeas from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Chickpeas will continue to crisp up as they cool. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
