Method
- Wash, peel, and cut russet potatoes into ½-inch strips.
- Soak potato strips in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain and pat potatoes completely dry using paper towels.
- Toss dried potatoes with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Place seasoned fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
- Cook for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crisp.
- Transfer fries to serving bowl and immediately sprinkle with grated Parmesan.
- Serve hot with dipping sauce or enjoy plain.
Notes
For best results, cut fries evenly and pat completely dry before cooking. Soaking is essential for crispiness. Serve with ranch, garlic aioli, or ketchup. Store leftovers in fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in air fryer at 350°F for 5–7 minutes. Avoid microwaving.
