Ingredients
  

  • 500 g white fish fillets Cod or tilapia.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika For seasoning the fish.
  • 1 teaspoon cumin For seasoning the fish.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For seasoning the fish.
  • 1 teaspoon salt For seasoning the fish.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper For seasoning the fish.
  • 1/2 cup flour All-purpose flour.
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch For extra crispiness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder To lighten the batter.
  • 1 cup cold water For the batter.
  • 1 sufficient oil for frying Vegetable or canola oil.
  • 8 small tortillas Corn or flour.
  • 1 cup red cabbage Thinly sliced.
  • 1 large avocado Sliced.
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves For garnish.
  • 1 large lime Cut into wedges.
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt For the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Freshly squeezed, for the sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon honey To balance flavors.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder For the sauce.
  • 1 pinch salt & pepper To taste, for the sauce.

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, season the fish fillets with paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and cold water to create a smooth batter.
  • Heat oil in a large pan or deep fryer to 180°C (350°F).
  • Dip each fish fillet into the batter, then carefully place it into the hot oil. Fry for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the fried fish and drain on paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, mix Greek yogurt, lime juice, honey, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to make the sauce.
  • Warm the tortillas in a pan or microwave for a few seconds.
  • Assemble the tacos: place pieces of fried fish on each tortilla, then top with sliced red cabbage, avocado, and fresh cilantro.
  • Drizzle with the yogurt-lime sauce and serve with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

For an extra kick, add some sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce.
