Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon fillets skin-on, about 6 oz each
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp green onions chopped, for garnish

Equipment

  • large skillet
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Paper towels
  • whisk

Method

  1. Rinse salmon fillets under cold water and pat completely dry with paper towels to ensure maximum crispiness.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until well combined.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Place salmon skin-side down in skillet and cook undisturbed for 4 minutes until skin is golden brown and crispy.
  5. Carefully flip salmon fillets and brush half of the glaze generously over the tops.
  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes more until internal temperature reaches 145°F and salmon is cooked through.
  7. Drizzle remaining glaze over cooked salmon and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For best results, use skin-on salmon fillets and ensure they are completely dry before cooking. Internal temperature should reach 145°F for food safety. Leftover salmon keeps in refrigerator for up to 3 days.
