- Add 2 lbs of chicken breast to a crockpot. Season with pepper, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, and thyme. Add one can of cream of chicken soup.
- Whisk 1 tbsp of flour into 1/2 cup of chicken broth to create a slurry and put the mixture into the crockpot.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours.
- Shred the chicken and add 1 cup of milk. Stir well and let cook in the crockpot for about 20 more minutes.
- Taste the chicken and season to taste with salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve over mashed potatoes.
Notes
Always cook chicken until it reaches at least 165 degrees F. To cut back on sodium, use low sodium chicken broth and cream of chicken soup.
