Crockpot Cube Steaks

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs cube steak
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) low sodium cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) low sodium cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 cup water

  • Large crockpot / slow cooker

Method
 

  1. Place 2 lbs of cube steaks in the bottom of a large crockpot spreading them out to cover the entire surface.
  2. Sprinkle the onion soup mix and brown gravy mix over the meat.
  3. Place the sliced onion over the top of the steaks.
  4. Add the low sodium cream of mushroom soup low sodium cream of celery soup and water. Give it a quick stir making sure the cube steaks remain on the bottom of the crockpot.
  5. Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low heat for about 6 hours or until the meat is fork tender.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

If you are not a fan of mushroom soup you can use 2 cans of cream of celery soup instead. Perfect served over homemade mashed potatoes.
